This is your guide to the closet grocery stores near Disney World.

When you travel to Orlando on a tight budget, you gotta know where the closest grocery stores near Disney World are.

The Publix Super Market at Regency Village Shopping Center is your closest major grocery store to the Disney World Resorts central area, while the Publix Super Market at Celebration Pointe is your closest option if you’re staying at a Disney Value resort.

If you want to purchase alcohol for your Disney trip, you can buy beer and wine at pretty much any grocery store. Liquor, on the other hand, must be bought at a licensed liquor store. I recommend Total Wine & More on Millenia Plaza Way because it has a HUGE selection and feels very safe and not grungy or scary like a lot of smaller liquor stores.

Here’s where we recommend staying near Disney:

Best Hotel with Kitchen: ➡️ Towneplace Suites by Marriott

Best Hotel w/ Free Park Shuttle + Breakfast: ➡️ Drury Plaza Hotel

Best 2 Bedroom Suites: ➡️ Homewood Suites by Hilton

Closest Grocery Stores Near Disney World’s Main Area

If you’re coming from the parks and many of the “nicer” resorts (Yacht Club, Board Walk, Animal Kingdom Lodge) the following grocery stores are going to be your fastest option by car.

Did you know Florida has a ban… on bag bans? That’s right. They’ve made it illegal for businesses to regulate plastic bags, so you can get them from pretty much any regular grocery store.

1. Publix Super Market at Regency Village Shopping Center

Publix is one of the most common grocery stores in Orlando and there are several within easy reach of Disney World.

✅ If you’re from out of state, like us, you may not be familiar with this chain of supermarkets, but they have a huge selection and you can get all of your groceries plus pharmacy items, baby stuff, etc.

Address: 8145 Vineland Ave, Orlando, FL 32821

2. Super Target

Are you a Target family? I’d rather spend less money on groceries, personally, but if you’re a bit of a grocery snob, then Target is your best bet.

✅ Great option for if you need to pick up something in addition to groceries, like a water bottle or flip flops.

✅ Need to buy a stroller, because you didn’t bring yours? Target is your best bet.

3. ALDI

The cheapest grocery store out there, ALDI is a great option if you’ve got patience for scavenging and you like a great deal. I often get frustrated with ALDI if I have a specific recipe in mind, because they don’t reliably have everything you need.

❌ Bring a quarter so you can unlock a shopping basket and use it.

❌ Bring your bags or a backpack! They do not supply them.

4. Walmart Supercenter

Did you forget a poncho? Kids need an extra pair of shoes? Backpack need to be patched up with duct tape?

Head to Walmart, because you’ll be able to get all of your groceries plus all the random crap that you forgot or will wind up needing.

❌ Walmart after dark is not my favorite place to be. There are generally some sort of illegal shenanigans happening in the parking lot.

Best Grocery Stores Near Disney World’s Value Resorts

If you’re driving from Disney’s value resorts (All Stars Resorts) or Blizzard Beach, then these will be your closest grocery stores.

5. Publix Super Market at Celebration Pointe

Again with the Publix? Yep. It’s the most common grocery store near Disney World, but that’s OK because they have just about everything.

6. Publix Super Market at Water Tower Shoppes

Here’s another Publix in case traffic is a little too hefty and you need to go in another direction.

Go Grocery Shopping Close to Disney Springs

If you’re spending some time at Disney Springs, the following grocery store is your closest option.

This might be a good activity for your first day in Orlando: go check out Disney Springs and then hit up the grocery store and stock up your hotel room.

7. Publix Super Market at Regency Village Shopping Center

ONE more Publix for the road! Seriously, haven’t these people heard of HEB?

Wholesale Grocery Stores Close to Disney World

When we travel, we almost ALWAYS hit up a Costco or Sam’s to stock up on a few choice items that are cheaper in bulk. Pre-packaged snacks, carbonated flavored water, and Diet Coke are our must haves.

Since you can bring food into Disney, stocking up at a wholesale grocery store is one of my best budget saving tips. Then simply put a couple snacks in your backpack and head to the parks!

8. Costco Wholesale, Orlando

I LOVE going to Costco to stock up on bulk snacks, especially on vacation. It really is a better deal, as long as you have a membership.

✅ Buy bulk snacks and drinks to stash in your hotel so you don’t spend too much money at the parks.

9. Sam’s Club

The number one reason we go to Sam’s Club? For the produce! All too often the produce selection at Sam’s is better than our regular grocery stores.

✅ We especially like to buy grapes, apples, and peaches here because they are a much better deal than elsewhere.

❌ You won’t find organic options, however.

Buying Alcohol for Disney World

Since there are so many out-of-staters (and people from other countries) visiting Disney World, it’s important to talk about where and how you can buy liquor, because it can differ SO widely from other areas.

Note: If you plan on purchasing alcohol for your stay at Disney, know that beer and wine are sold in licensed grocery stores in Florida.

Here are the rules for buying alcohol in Orlando, FL:

✔️ Hard liquor is sold in liquor stores.

✔️ Alcohol can be sold in stores from 9AM to 2AM seven days a week.

✔️ You have to have a valid ID and be over 21 to purchase (duh).

✔️ You cannot bring alcohol into any of the parks, although you can stash it in your hotel and save a lot of money instead of ordering a beer at dinner, for example.

Where to Buy Alcohol Near Disney World

Sure, there may be closer liquor stores near Disney World. But how sketchy are they? I’m not going into a random hole-in-the-wall liquor store in Florida for any amount of money.

Plus, I have a gluten sensitivity and I like to drink potato vodka, which cannot be generally found in a regular liquor store. That’s why I always head to Total Wine & More.

Total Wine & More

Total Wine & More will take you around 20 minutes from the parks, but you won’t have to make any additional stops because they have literally EVERYTHING in the way of adult beverages you could think of.

Stretch Your Food Budget at Disney World Without Sacrificing Vacation Fun

If you’re like us, then you don’t have a massive budget for eating out while on vacation. We generally eat out once or twice and then spend the rest of the time cooking our food. Here are a couple of tips that I use every single time we travel to Disney to save money on food:

✅ Stock up on snacks and canned drinks at Costco or Sam’s

✅ Buy a pizza from Little Caesar’s and heat up the leftovers in the microwave the next day

✅ Hit up a bagel store (we love Einstein’s Brothers! They have a great deal on Mondays) and stock up on bagels. Eat them for breakfast then take some into the park for lunch.

✅ Stay in a place with a kitchenette. This really expands you’re ability to make cheap meals.

✅ Get sandwich materials and stock them in your hotel room. You won’t need many utensils to whip those up.

In Conclusion: Grocery Stores Near Disney World

In conclusion, when planning your grocery needs for your Disney World adventure, the Publix Super Market at Regency Village Shopping Center and the Publix Super Market at Celebration Pointe stand out as the most convenient options, depending on your resort location.

For those seeking to add a little extra cheer to their trip with alcoholic beverages, beer and wine are readily available at these grocery stores. However, for a wider range of spirits, a visit to a licensed liquor store is necessary.

Total Wine & More on Millenia Plaza Way comes highly recommended, boasting an extensive selection in a safe and welcoming environment, a refreshing departure from the typical smaller liquor stores. Plan wisely and enjoy your magical stay at Disney World.
